Location, location, location. It doesn't get much better than this with a straight tailgateDisney California Adventure® Parking. Nature is the theme at this six-story hotel, surrounded by pine trees and built of cedar and redwood, a nod to the turn-of-the-century Craftsman style. The impressive lobby with Mission chandeliers and comfortable seating is a favorite meeting place for guests. Every afternoon and evening there is storytelling and live piano music in and around the large hearth where a fire burns all year round.

Inns
The standard rooms here are a bit small at 30 square metres, but with the hotel's most recent refurbishment, they've managed to put a small sofa in many of the rooms instead of the table and chairs, and in some of them also a sleeper chair. Part of the Arts and Crafts style can be seen in the Tree of Life mural behind the headboard and lantern lighting. The bedding, made with white sheets and without the bright color of a runner, is either two queens or one king, but there's no longer a bunk option. A desk and granite desk, along with a cabinet containing a small refrigerator and Keurig coffee maker round out the furnishings, while above is a large flat screen TV. unlikeDisneyland® The hotel rooms have a balcony with different views:Typical appearancefrom the front of the resort;View of forest / gardenof the courtyard, Deluxe Partial ViewDisney California Adventure® Park ή Downtown Disney;Downtown Disney®area display,a somewhat noisy choice. or aPremium viewvanDisney California AdventurePark or the pools, some of which come with noise from the park.
Dual sinks in a gray granite vanity with a large, lighted vanity mirror are located next to a commode and tiled shower (note that many of the rooms no longer have bathtubs, bathtubs are available by request only). Additional amenities include H2O bath products, bathrobes, hair dryers, lighted vanity mirrors, full length mirrors, turndown service and electronic safes.Check out Disney's Grand Californian Hotel Standard View Room on the Glass Slipper Concierge YouTube channel.
Concierge rooms
Concierge guests have accessThe porchThe concierge lounge is located on the 6th floor of the resort and is a perfect place to relax and enjoy the many dining options available. Wall-to-wall windows open onto the balcony with treetop views and evening fireworks. Special presidential and vice presidential suites, as well as concierge rooms, include concierge access. Standard one, two, and three bedroom suites do not, although concierge access may be available for an additional fee at check-in.
Breakfast includes luncheon meats and cheeses, boiled eggs, bagels, pastries, croissants, muffins, fresh fruit, hot oatmeal, cereal and juice. Afternoon snacks are key with fresh fruit, goldfish crackers, goat cheese salad, tea sandwiches (smoked salmon, egg salad, turkey and provolone, chicken BLT salad), chips and salsa, raisins, fruit tarts, lemon scones, apple pies, assorted cookies, and Smuckers Uncrustables. In the evening, enjoy artisanal cheeses, crackers, breads, fruits, meats and dips and two hot dishes including buffalo chicken rangoon, barbecue pineapple chicken pizza, chicken nuggets, black bean empanadas, spring rolls and more. Lounge hosts serve beer and wine during both afternoon and evening events. Bottled water is available upon request and an espresso machine adds to the enjoyment. Evening desserts are served from 20:00 to 22:00. they include chocolate and oatmeal cookies, macaroons, petit fours, and chocolate-covered strawberries.
One of the nicest aspects of the living room is the full-length balcony that overlooks the monorail that runs through the hotel's courtyard, as well as theDisneyland® Fireworks park. Additional amenities include a turndown service, Bose Wave music system, and in-room check-in.
Suites
OfArcadia-suiteon the 6th floor, one of two Vice President SuitesDisney's Grand Californian Hotel, available in one, two or three bedroom options for four, eight or twelve guests. It pays homage to Frank Lloyd Wright with fun touches like the central brick fireplace in the living/dining room and a wall of windows that fill the room with natural light, etched in Frank Lloyd Wright's Tree of Life motif. A half bath is located outside the entrance. In a separate room is the dining room with seating for eight, adjacent to a kitchen with sink, microwave and full-sized refrigerator. Relax on two small lanai overlooking Redwood Pool and California Adventure, one off the dining room and the other off the master bedroom. The master has a king bed and the adjoining bathroom has a jetted tub. Optional connecting rooms have 2 queen beds or a king bed with a queen sleeper sofa.
OfMt. Whitney-suite, one of two presidential suitesDisney's Grand Californian Hotel(the other being the El Capitan Suite), is decorated in warm shades of green, brown and gold that evoke nature and strongly suggest the Mission style seen throughout the resort. On one side of the entryway is a half bath and on the other side is a small bedroom with a queen size bed, desk and TV. In the huge living room are rich hardwood floors, a wood-burning fireplace, a forest green sofa and four armchairs, two of which are Morris leather chairs, all framed by orange-colored Craftsman floor lamps. As part of this 'beautiful space', the dining room seats ten and a stained glass lamp hangs above it. The dining room is adjacent to a utility room with a full size refrigerator, sink and microwave.
The master bedroom is decorated in aubergine and beige tones. Furnishing a king bed, recliner, desk, desk and entertainment center seems a bit out of place in such a spacious room. Step through the bedroom to a small walk-in closet, where a dressing table separates a two-piece master bath. To one side of the bathroom is a single vanity unit, jetted tub and Toto vanity unit, and to the other is a large marble shower, single vanity unit and separate commode area with Toto vanity unit, all featuring Carrera marble and mosaic floors. An additional bedroom with two queen beds can be added to create a 3 bedroom suite.
My favorite aspect of the suite is the outdoor space with a balcony running the length of the suite, as well as a gem of a dining deck (even an outdoor fireplace!) ideal for alfresco dining. And even more special is the beautiful view of the resort's swimming poolsDisney California AdventurePark with a semi-view of the World of Color show.Browse the suite Mt. Whitney of Disney's Grand Californian Hotel on the Glass Slipper Concierge YouTube Channel!
Also on the 6th floor, theEl Capitan-suiteavailable in one, two or three bedroom options for four, eight or twelve guests respectively. With a floor-to-ceiling wall of etched glass windows in the living room, office, double-sided stone fireplace, and kitchen, it's a haven from the theme park madness. The furniture in the vaulted living room consists of a sofa and four armchairs. on the other side of the fireplace is a dining table for eight. Furniture in the master bedroom, such as the Mt. Whitney, they're a little lost. In the bathroom there are three rooms, all with marble floors: one with two single marble sinks. Another with large shower and whirlpool bath. the third with chest of drawers and bidet. A balcony running the entire length of the dining room, living room and office offers a beautiful viewDisney California AdventurePark.
Standard one, two and three bedroom suites are also available with large guest rooms connected to a small living room with sofa, recliner, entertainment center and wet bar. The one bedroom suites have a living room with a sofa bed, two armchairs, a table and two chairs, an entertainment center and a balcony. Next to the living room is a bathroom that connects to the main hallway with two sinks, a bathtub and a toilet in a separate room. The main entrance then leads to a guest bedroom with a king size bed with entertainment center, recliner and ottoman, and another balcony. These suites are arranged so that next to the main entrance there are two connecting standard rooms, each with a bath, creating a 2 or 3 bedroom suite. A one bedroom sleeps four people, a two bedroom sleeps eight and a three bedroom sleeps twelve. These suites are never sold on a view basis, so you may get a standard view.
